Due to current Covid-19 circumstances, this year's awards is hosted entirely online. After not running in 2020, we're excited to still host the awards this year in a way that is safe, fun, accessible and more dynamic on Kudos Online!

Kudos Emerging Awards seek to recognise and support innovation and talent across all disciplines at UNSW AD in three categories: Emerging Artist and Designer, Emerging Curator and Emerging Writer.

The annual Kudos Awards has always featured the most noteworthy local upcoming arts practitioners, and is often the first big step in propelling emerging artists careers to the next level. For audiences, the Kudos Awards has always been the way to see and support the most exciting, upcoming, emerging talents in town!

For the first time Kudos Awards is having students present their work with artwork descriptions and artist bios, not solely displaying an individual artwork in a gallery with no description. We wanted to see how artworks fit in relation to an artists' body of work and artistic practice that they're on the path to building!

The Kudos Award is open to all UNSW Arts, Design, & Architecture students across any stage or kind of degree. All applications have been assessed by the Kudos Committee, and our final online exhibition will be judged by external industry guest judges who will award the major prizes.
